DISRUPTING FRAME PRODUCTION AND DESIGN SINCE 2017
C/DURO was born as a passion project within CompoTech, driven by the vision to apply our innovative approach to carbon composite production. Our frames are built around advanced automated fiber winding and placement technology, delivering distinctive aesthetics and outstanding performance. We take pride in combining cutting-edge technology with premium materials, backed by extensive testing and analysis, to give riders uncompromising performance and reliability.
IN CARBON WE TRUST
For C/DURO frame production, we start with precision filament-wound tubes made from the highest-grade carbon fibers, such as Torayca M40J. The tubes are then joined using our proprietary Integrated Loop Technology (ILT). Unlike conventional bonding, ILT transfers loads through continuous carbon fiber loops seamlessly built into the tube structure. This integration creates joints with exceptional strength,fatigue resistance, and long-term reliability, ensuring every frame performs at the highest level.
At C/DURO, we believe in using carbon fiber to its maximum performance, without compromising for trends, gimmicks, or outdated production methods. From day one, we’ve built frames for ourselves, frames that ride faster, last longer, and are simply more fun to ride.
OUR STORY
2017
FIRST PROTOTYPE
The journey began with our first prototype, a proof of concept that set the foundation for C/DURO. We decided on a single-pivot platform and adopted long and slack geometry to maximize stability and control.
2018
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Collaboration with scientists from CTU Prague pushed our ideas further, allowing us to create the first iterations of our Integrated Loop Technology (ILT).
2019
FIRST RIDEABLE ILT FRAME
Refined single-pivot kinematics brought the concept closer to reality, creating a ride that truly reflected our vision.
2020-2022
TESTING & DATA ACQUISITION
We continued developing ILT and built the first bikes for friends, gathering essential insights on performance, ride feel, and durability.
2023
EPONA WAS BORN
Featuring a stiffer frame made from M40J and UMS40 carbon and a higher degree of production automation. We started collaborating with Intend, launched C/DURO Racing with colleagues and friends, and were recognized with the JEC Innovation Award.
2024
DEVELOPMENT NEVER STOPS
Exploring new paths, we built a gravel bike prototype, started designing a high pivot platform, and showcased our work at Bespoked bike shows–continuing to push the boundaries of carbon fiber.
2025
BOLD NEW ERA
Talented PRO enduro racer Vojta Bláha joined the team. We launched the revised EPONA and stepped into a new era with a fresh visual identity. And there’s much more on the horizon. Stay tuned!
CompoTech
Driving Carbon Composite Technology Forward
CompoTech was founded in 1995 combining expertise in composite engineering with passion for white-water canoeing. Today CompoTech is leading European producer of composite structures from aerospace to machine parts and yacht masts. Since 2012 they have been involved with academic projects optimising, testing and producing carbon fibre frame tube sets for a road bicycle manufacturer.
With excellent biking terrain around their hometown of Sušice, on the edge of the Šumava National Park, it was only natural for CompoTech to apply the latest automated composite technology to their own bike frame production — creating a mountain bike frame built for the local trails.
