RACE LINES 04: ENDURO WORLD CUP

CANAZEI & LA THUILE
After a quick pause, the racing carousel headed to the big mountains of the Dolomites. Hot weather and occasional thunderstorms spiced up the already breathtaking scenery. After an eventful Canazei round, we headed near Mont Blanc to La Thuile for the penultimate round of EDR.

Both races were extremely competitive, as one could now expect in World Cup level racing, and took place in perfect conditions. The time differences were minimal and I was always super close to the sharp end. This shows that we are on a good track to be among the fastest in the game and that we need to work on the little details to fight for that final 1% of performance.

Evaluation

Racing is tight and dangerous, with many top racers sustaining injuries or mechanicals. The pace is gradually growing and it takes even more to be competitive. This calls for larger risks and also puts more pressure on the equipment. I am proud to stay consistent and happy about the reliability of my bike and components, which puts me TOP 20 overall in the EDR ranking!!

3. Movie Making
The story behind CDuro and me is still in the making. It’s going to be big.

What’s next?

After this weekend’s national champs, there are a few weeks of summer break, which leaves some space for rest but also training and testing before the last two big races of the season. Stay tuned for the media.

Thanks for following our journey!
