RACE LINES 02: EDR ROUND 1&2

First two rounds of EDR were just a few days apart so it was kind of a marathon. We completed four days of riding and racing in Finale Outdoor region and smoothly moved to Bielsko-Biala in Poland to race for another 2 days. In between was just 18 hours of driving and lots of laundry!

As I look back to the days on the bike and all the preparation we’ve made to be ready for this, I am very positive. I had two solid races with the fastest competition we’ve had in years. However, even though the results were good, my races weren’t perfect and we know what to work on!

Evaluation

As I’ve already mentioned, this past week has been super busy. Let’s take it step by step…

1. EDR RD1 in Italy took us back to golde era of enduro, when the days were long, physical and the trails were epic! I love this formate and was feeling good, but a slight mechanical didn’t allow for a better result. We just missed TOP 30! …and luckily learned from the issue!

Super long 4-day event which tested fitness; P31

2. EDR RD2 took place in Poland on a much smaller hill which ment more intense racing, tighter times and more fans on the stages. It was a nice change compared to last week to race shorter, punchier trails and it suited me well! I’ve managed to get my first TOP 10 stage result but unfortunately crashed out on two other ones which left me in P25.

Intensive weekend of racing revealing speed; P25

3. All of this action had been documented and is or will be up on my social media. We are still working on a documentary series focused on CDuro development & racing. Taking part in these two World Cups was a huge leap forwards and I am happy to say, that the plot is unwrapping in a very nice manner. We are in for a great show in few weeks time!

We worked hard to provide engaging content from the race.

What’s next?

We have one week to go before heading to Freiburg for Intend testing. After that we will be ready to roll to RD 3 & 4. As I’m currently sitting 28th in the series it will be exciting to see where the next rounds will put me! Most importantly, I am moving forward healthy and with no injuries, so I expect another bunch of good races. All of the pictures and videos will be uploaded on my OneDrive and sorted into folders so you can also tag the photographer.

Thanks for following our journey!
